Cherry Blossoms + Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello Everyone, today I am back with another card featuring flower from Susan's Garden. This is one of my favourite and I have been wanting to create a project with this.

Cherry Blossoms are popular around the world including Japan, China, India, Canada and United States. And across the globe you will be able to see some different textures and hues.

Today's Cherry Blossom on my card is little from my imaginative creative world mixed with the original. I have used the branches as the tree trunk as I wanted to create a tree also. For a more realistic tree, we can omit the leaves as the leaves would not come out until the cherry blossoms are finished.

How can we shape the flowers and the tree

Step 1: Die cut lots of petals, stamens and branch pieces using the Cherry Blossom die set for the petals and branches, the Garden Notes Tulip 2 set for the stamens, and Garden Notes Rose 3 for the leaves (pink cardstock for stamens, gray for the petals, brown for the branches). For this card, branches are used to create the tree trunk. Shade the die cut pieces with Distress Inks; add dots to the petals.

Step 2: Die cut lots of leaves using the leaf die from the Garden Notes Rose 3. Use red Distress Ink to shade them.

Step 3: Using the Metal Tool set, shape and leaves and the flowers.

Step 4: Cut a White Soft Finish Cardstock card base measuring 6′ x 4′. For the second layer cut a Gray Soft Finish Cardstock rectangle measuring 1/8″ less on all sides. For the third layer cut a White Soft Finish Cardstock rectangle measuring 1/8″ on all sides, and score along the sides to create a raised ridge.

Step 5: Die cut the Thank You sentiment. Add it to a gray rectangle with postage stamp edge die cut across the bottom.

Step 6: Arrange and adhere all of the pieces.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the project. I’d love to see what you create with the Cherry Blossom die set, so do join the Elizabeth Craft Designs Family Facebook page and share your cards.

I think I will frame this and give it to a friend instead of sending it as a card. I hope to share the frame with you all soon.

Thank You +Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello Friends, welcome to another post of mine featuring Elizabeth Craft Designs and Susan's Garden Flower Die. Well though its spring I have a flower for you today which does not bloom during spring yet I wanted to create one.

I also created a self layered background for this card using one of the ECD word dies.

Poinsettia is found with dense red and green foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays and decoration. Yeah I know its not Christmas but I love this flower.

For the background I used the Els Van de Burgt Studio Thank You Word Die and die cut several pieces from the soft Finish Vintage Card stock.

The Card has 3 panels. The Card size is 6' x 5' . The second layer is from the Vintage Soft Finish stack with 1/8th inch less from the base. The Third layer is again 1/8 inch less on which the word die cut is layered in dynamic direction.

I used the Spellbinder large circle die and die the center piece( kept it aside for another card).

Die cut several poinsettia from the die and colored and shaped using the Metal tool.

Adhered and layered all and finished the card

Hope you like and would be inspired to try one of the ECD flower dies. Trust me if you are thinking to start off your journey with paper flowers then ECD is the die you should start with.

Effortless, easy, realistic all that you can ask for.

Congrats - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello Friends, February has been quite a slow month for me and I was away from my blog. However will compensate and have some amazing projects to share.

Today my post is using ECD products which is a very simple card however the products used makes it all the more easy and beautiful.

The Self adhesive sheet from ECD and the micro fine glitter is such a powerful combination that it gives fabulous end results. I would recommend and want all to use the glitter on the self adhesive sheet as it create wonders.

This is my first time using on a intricate sentiment die as I was afraid I will tear it however it came out clean without much effort.

The background is made using the Hydrangea flower die and yes I did not shape them this time and used it flat.

Yellow and Green is what I wanted to keep the color combination on a white background hence used difference shades of the color.

Do share how you like it and thanks for stopping by. I am listing down the products used which will link directly to the ECD shop where you can order yours :).

Hello everyone and welcome to my first post for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Ever since I started working with flowers and paper crafting, Susan's Garden Club - Elizabeth Craft Designs was one of the company whose flower dies I would die for.

The reason would be the flowers are so natural, easy to create and perfect to what you may see in your garden. 2017 could not be a better start than joining the fabulous team.

So we have a whole new range of dies yet to be released and we at Elizabeth Craft Designs are all gearing up for the new release. You can see the whole new release HERE.

Now let me tell you a little about my project, the flower I chose today for my project is one of the very few flower I have been wanting to work with for the longest time.
Here's my version of the flower and I hope I could do justice.

The card is a very simple card. Its made with a window and acetate however I have not added any shaker elements as such.

I wanted to sentiment to be behind with some background flowers and leaves so created a double layer and acetate sheet.

DIY+Bottle Art

Happy New Year my friends and this is my first post for 2017. 2016 has been a productive year for me in terms of learning new art form, finishing some of my oil paintings, taking up new design work and getting recognized and appreciated by many.

With 2017 I intend to do more, learn more, share more which eventually should inspire my readers.

Today I am blogging for Happy Little Stamper with Anything with dies challenge. I love making flowers and this time I up cycled a wine bottle using Heartfelt Creations Daisy Flower Die.

First let me share a glimpse of the flower I created using the die which I later used to embellish the bottle.

Later I used a old wine bottle which I wrapped with twine and then used the flower arrangement for the bottle decor. The final look is something like this.

The Dies used are Cheery Lynn and Heartfelt Creations flower dies.

Hope you like it and its a very easy peasy project that all of you can try at home.
